Service Description
Our Blended Learning Paediatric First Aid course is designed for anyone working with babies and children who needs a full, accredited paediatric first aid qualification with the flexibility of online learning. Combining engaging e-learning with hands-on, face-to-face training in Hull, this course is ideal for nurseries, childminders, schools and childcare settings across Hull and East Yorkshire. Fully aligned with EYFS and Ofsted requirements, this training equips learners with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies involving infants and children. What the Blended Paediatric Course Covers: Primary survey and paediatric life support CPR and safe use of an AED for infants and children Managing an unresponsive child or baby Choking, seizures and shock Severe bleeding, burns, breaks and head injuries Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis (including auto-injector use) Childhood illnesses (asthma, diabetes, meningitis, fever etc.) Accident recording and safeguarding considerations How Blended Learning Works: Online Learning: Complete interactive modules at home or work at your own pace. Practical Session: Attend an in-person training day in Hull to practise skills and complete assessments with an experienced first aid instructor. Who Should Attend? Nursery nurses and early years practitioners Childminders and babysitters Teachers, teaching assistants and school staff Parents, guardians and anyone caring for young children Certification Learners who complete both the online and practical elements receive a fully accredited Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for 3 years, meeting all EYFS and Ofsted standards.
