Service Description
Coffee, Connections & CPR A free Restart a Heart Day networking event for local business owners. Join Hull Safety Training for a morning of coffee, conversation and lifesaving practical skills—all while meeting other local business owners in a relaxed and friendly setting. Restart a Heart is a national initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK, encouraging more people to learn CPR and develop the confidence to act when someone experiences a cardiac arrest. To mark Restart a Heart Day 2026, we’re replacing the usual networking format with something a little different. Alongside making new business connections, you’ll have the opportunity to: • Learn how to recognise a cardiac arrest • Practise CPR using training manikins • Build your confidence around using a defibrillator • Meet and connect with other local business owners • Enjoy coffee and take a look around Hull Safety Training’s practical training venue More than 40,000 people experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK each year—and around 80% happen at home. The skills you practise could therefore help you save a colleague, customer, friend or someone you love. No previous first aid experience is required. The morning will be relaxed, practical and suitable for complete beginners. EVENT DETAILS Date: Friday 16 October 2026 Time: 9:30–11:30am Venue: Louis Pearlman Centre, Hull Cost: Free Places: Maximum 16 attendees Advance booking is essential because places are limited, ensuring everyone has time to practise. Please note that this is a free awareness and practical skills event rather than a certificated first aid qualification. Come for the coffee and connections—leave with the confidence to help save a life.
