First Aid at Work (FAW) 3-Day Course Information. Our 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides employees with the skills and confidence to respond to a wide range of workplace emergencies. Delivered by qualified instructors in Hull, this accredited training is suitable for businesses across Hull and East Yorkshire whose first aid needs assessment identifies a need for comprehensive training. No previous first aid training is required. This practical, hands-on course teaches learners how to assess emergencies, provide life-saving treatment and manage injuries and medical conditions until professional help arrives. We include **catastrophic bleeding and anaphylaxis as standard. What the FAW Course Covers: Primary survey and assessing an emergency CPR and use of an AED Managing an unresponsive casualty Choking, seizures and shock Bleeding control, catastrophic bleeding and wound management Burns, scalds and minor injuries Fractures, sprains and spinal injuries Head, chest and abdominal injuries Heart attacks and strokes Diabetes, asthma and anaphylaxis Employer and employee responsibilities Upon successfully completing the course, learners will receive an accredited First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years.
