Course Description: Our 2-day First Aid at Work (FAW) Requalification course is for people who have previously completed the 3-day FAW course and need to renew their qualification. Delivered by qualified instructors in Hull, this accredited, hands-on course helps workplace first aiders refresh their skills and respond confidently to emergencies. Learners revisit the full range of First Aid at Work skills through practical exercises and realistic scenarios. The course also provides an opportunity to update their knowledge and practise techniques they may not have used since their previous training. We include catastrophic bleeding and anaphylaxis as standard. What the FAW Requalification Course Covers: Primary survey and assessing an emergency CPR and use of an AED Managing an unresponsive casualty Choking, seizures and shock Bleeding control, catastrophic bleeding and wound management Burns, scalds and minor injuries Fractures, sprains and spinal injuries Head, chest and abdominal injuries Heart attacks and strokes Diabetes, asthma and anaphylaxis Employer and employee responsibilities Upon successfully completing the course, learners will receive a new accredited First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years. Eligibility: To book Hull Safety Training’s 2-day requalification course, you must provide evidence of a previous FAW certificate that is still valid or expired no more than 30 days before the course. If your certificate has expired, you cannot act as a workplace first aider until you have requalified.
